It is with much sadness to announce that Debra A. (Rose) Dossett-Robinson, 67 of Griswold passed away peacefully on July 22nd, 2025. Deb was born on August 30, 1957 in Norwich CT, the daughter of the late Elmer Rose and Delores (Roberge) Harnois.
Being the independent and strong-willed person as she was her whole life, she did things her way, including making her final wishes clear and even wrote out notes for her own obituary. Many know Deb from her days of working for the Town of Griswold prior to her retirement, as well as being a longtime Tax Preparer, something to which she did with great pride. Deb was the type of person who was willing to help anyone at any time. Especially with preparing tax filings, she always took late calls, texts and emails; she was always available.
She is survived by her daughter, Christene Mullane of Preston CT, long time significant other Paul Brycki of Griswold CT, step children Randy Robinson Jr (Tonya) of Norwich CT and Jody Robinson of Norwich, Grandchildren Brycen Mullane, Natlia Robinson and Olivia Robinson. Deb also leaves behind sisters Elizabeth Clark (Jerry), Patricia Rose and brother Timothy (Tracy) Rose as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Deb wanted to mention give a special nod to her cousin Kathy Swartzel and her children of Griswold, and her dear friends Ellen Dupont, Leona Sharkey and Midge Cyr.
Besides her parents, Deb was predeceased by husband Randy Robinson, grandson Tiernan Robinson and extra special “Granny”, Evelyn Gauthier
We would like to extend a huge Thank you to Doris from Quality Homemakers in Plainfield, as well their staff, in addition to all of the visiting nurses from Hartford Healthcare. We will forever be grateful for your help, care and support during Debs final days.
A celebration of life will be held on August 24th, 2025 from 12-3pm at the French Club on Wilson Street in Jewett City, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Lung Association
