Deborah Rose Barry

Deborah Rose Barry, 83, passed away on January 5, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Deborah was born on January 15, 1939, to the late Eleanor (Peckham) and Kenneth Rose.  She is predeceased by her husband Arthur Joseph Barry, Jr., her husband of 64 years, and her daughter Denise Barry Dion. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Barry) Schiano, son Ken Barry and wife Tiffany, daughter Michelle Manseau and husband Kyle, son-in-law Wayne Dion and her seven grandchildren: Angelina Schiano, Natalie Schiano, Juliana Schiano, Elaina Schiano, Georgia Barry, Tyler Barry and Jake Manseau.

Deborah worked as a hairdresser for many years before helping her husband run the family business, Spearpoint Auto, in Preston. After her time at Spearpoint Auto she worked as an in-home companion until her retirement.

Deborah had a passion for reading, cooking, canning, gardening, maintaining her saltwater fish tank, playing the piano and organ, and the challenge of completing the crossword puzzle out of the daily newspaper.  She enjoyed going for long rides on Sundays and getting ice cream, a tradition that she continued from her childhood. Deborah adored taking care of her many cats and dogs over the years.  She had a love for watching and feeding the birds, which she inherited from her father, and looked forward to the return of the hummingbirds every May.

Deborah loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching them learn and grow over the years and took great pride in all their accomplishments.

She had many childhood friendships that became lifelong bonds and looked forward to their daily conversations throughout the years. Deborah will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
