Dean Allan Barr

Dean A. Barr, 52 of Central Village left his family, and friends unexpectedly on February 15, 2022.

Dean was born on October 11, 1969 to Richard Barr and Noreen (Barr) Brainard at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT.

Dean loved the outdoors, and all outdoor activities. He was very caring and he would help anyone he could. 

Dean leaves behind, his mom Noreen Brainard, two brothers Ricky Barr of Florida, Scott Barr of Griswold, a sister Buffy Chevrette of Windham. He also leaves his two children Crystal Shirley, and Justin Shirley of Hopeville, CT. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren Trenton Delucia, Mackenzie Delucia, Wyatt Delucia, Madilyn Olivia Shirley and Emma Gadwaw, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his dad Richard (Dick) Barr. 

Calling hours will be held from 12:00-2:00PM at Gagne-Piechowski Huneral Home located at 490 Voluntown Rd, Jewett City for all friends, and family who wish to show their respects.  A reception will be held following at The American Polish Citizen Club at 670 Voluntown Rd, Griswold CT
