David Michael Guarneri, 73, of Jewett City passed away Tuesday December 30, 2025 at the W. W. Backus Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1952 in Willimantic, CT the son of Charles and Medora Marie (Marrotte) Guarneri.
David worked for many years as a machine operator for Plastic Wire and Cable and as a driver for various lumberyards including Tripps, Norwich Lumber and Lenihan Lumber. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Pachaug Outdoor Club Pistol Team.
He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Dawne Guarneri and sister Cara Guarneri.
David is survived by his wife Mary (Attardo) Guarneri, four children Courtney Botha (Michael) of Preston, Joshua Guarneri (Nina Subhas) of New York City, NY, Donna Guarneri of Griswold, Danielle Lisle of New London, four brothers Charles Guarneri (Pat) of NC, Kenneth Guarneri (Edna) of Preston, Ronald Guarneri (Peg) of Westerly, RI, Anthony Guarneri of Uncasville, sister Charis Tondreau (Gary) of Plainfield, six grandchildren, two brother-in-laws Paul Attardo of Florida, NY, Robert Attardo of Spring Valley, CA, sister-in-law Liz Dillis of Moosup and numerous nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be Wednesday January 14, 2026 from 10 to 11 AM at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Rd., Jewett City, CT with a service to follow at the funeral home at 11 AM.
