Darryl Marth Obituary

Darryl Nevin Marth, 81, passed away at home on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Gaathje) Marth.

 

He was born June 13, 1944 in Meriden, CT, son to the late Louis and Denise (Dubois) Marth.

 

Darryl served in the US Coast Guard.  He worked in manufacturing as a Quality Engineer for most of his career.  He had a passion for hunting, fishing, boating, his horses and dogs and he loved dancing. He was a proud member of the Westerly Yacht Club. 

 

Besides his loving wife he is survived by his three children Misti Arel, John (Katie) Marth and Joshua Marth, two stepsons Peter Gaathje and Carl Gaathje, his brothers Russell Marth and Denis Marth, grandchildren Daniel Arel, Lillian Marth, Kallie Marth, Knox Marth, Ashley Gaathje, Kyle Gaathje, Marisa Gaathje, Alex Gaathje, Kody Marth and Zach Marth, several great grandchildren.

 

He was predeceased by his brother Philip Marth.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00PM Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Westerly Yacht Club, Westerly RI.
