The precious and dear soul of Cynthia A Simmons of Griswold, CT peacefully transitioned from this life to her eternal home on the evening of September 28, 2025 and is now embraced in the arms of our heavenly Father. She was born in Norwich, CT on April 14, 1946 and will forever remain in the hearts of family, friends, and the lives of the many people she touched with her love, care, and compassion.
She was predeceased by her parents George A Arnott and Stella E Babik, her sister Nancy Burke, along with her sons Michael A Richie, Todd T Turcotte. She is survived by her husband Thomas A Simmons III of Griswold, daughter Kimberly and husband Jerry Stefanick of Voluntown, Victoria Mullane and her Step daughter Shay Dillion of Waterford. Grandchildren Ashley, Katie, Brandy, Chelsea, Kaley, Madison, Gage, Josiah, Jase, Savien, Clea, and Mateyo. Her great grandchildren Shane, Logan, Lane, Faith, Jayvia, and Roman and many other loving family members.
A devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and caregiver, she enjoyed caring for animals as much as she did people, cats being her favorite..
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Pachaug Cemetery, Rte 138, in Griswold, CT and 2:00 PM followed by a celebration of life at the Lighthouse Church of God, Plainfield, CT at 3:00 PM.
