Charles Phillip Gaudreau, Jr.

Charles Phillip Gaudreau, Jr., 78, of Edmond Road, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the W.W. Backus Hospital, Norwich CT surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 18, 1945, in Norwich, CT son to the late Charles Phillip and Doris (Barry) Gaudreau, Jr. On January 14, 1967 he was married to Jane (Flexer) Gaudreau.  She survives him.

Charles worked for many years as a truck driver in the construction industry.  He was a member of Mid Shipmen of Jewett City.  He loved going camping and gardening.  Charles was a wonderful husband, dad and loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by the love of his life Jane Gaudreau, his children Lisa Oberdorf (Craig Costa), Dawn Marcure (Leo), Renee DuPrey (Robert) and Trevor Gaudreau, his ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Cecile Desmaris and Linda Lemieux. 

Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00PM Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home

490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.  A funeral service will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the funeral home.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
