Brittany Ann (Schalla) Gauthier

Brittany Ann Gauthier, born Schalla, of Norwich, CT passed away August 17, 2023 at the age of 32 following an illness. She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Friend. Brittany was determined, strong willed, and nothing snuck by her! When she loved you, it was a love that no one else in this world could ever compare to. She loved hard. Day or night Brittany was always there to help anyone thru anything. To have such dedication from one person, is unbelievable, she would not back down for nothing! She spoke her mind & for all the right reasons! She was never afraid to tell the hard truths and fight for what she felt was right. Britt was not one to keep quiet, and for that we will forever be thankful for her boldness, honesty, and push to keep everyone going. There was no slacking off in her eyes. There is no one who could ever compare to the person Brittany was! She was wild, real & had a huge heart!

Brittany loved traveling to new places and having new experiences. Whether a relaxing quiet cabin, or an exciting upbeat place in the city, she was happy.  Roller coaster rides. Game nights. 4 wheeling. Going out to dinner. Motorcycle rides, Jeep rides, blast the music and have fun rides! Beach days, Girls day. Trying out new places to make memories. Spending quality time with those she loved. She was the life of the party. A simple board game, was never just a simple board game! Loved having her hair and nails done, but never afraid to get down and dirty!

She thrived on bringing happiness to the table, but was not afraid to stir the pot! She put everything she had into her relationships with those around her, and words cannot describe how sorely she will be missed by all who knew her. She was a woman of passion and love. Her biggest passion was her family. Always there for her husband, her children, her family, and her friends she considered family. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Gauthier; daughters, Haylee LeHouillier and Alice Gauthier; parents, Douglas Schalla, Heather Vasiliou, and Angela Schalla; siblings, Jason McInerney, Austin Schalla, Tiffany Schalla and Alex Vasiliou; grandparents, Wayne McNaught and Penny Walden; grandmother Katha Burden; great-grandmother, Paula Ross; and many aunts,  uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins. She had a particularly close relationship with her Aunt Rebecca Mather and her wife Michelle Mather. Calling hours will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11am - 1pm at Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 460 Voluntown Rd, Griswold, CT.
