Anthony Joseph Sadowski

Norwich – Anthony J. Sadowski, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022.

                He was born in Jewett City, CT on November 29, 1928, son of the late Anthony Joseph and Bertha (Zashut) Sadowski. 

                Tony is survived by Evelyn (Barber) Sadowski, celebrating 72 of marriage in December.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1951.  Tony had his own painting and decorating company for many years, painting churches, factories, and houses in Eastern Connecticut.  With his love of cars, he had a career change, which led him to be a top car salesman, mainly at Simon Ford and other dealerships until retirement.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing.

                In addition to his wife, Evelyn, Tony leaves behind his sons, Joel (Cheryl) Sadowski and Mark (Diane) Sadowski; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his brother Robert (Carol) Sadowski, sister Jane Stoyanovich and numerous nieces and nephews. 
                He was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Harrelson.

                A graveside service will be held 11:00AM, Saturday January 15, 2022 at the Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold, CT.  There are no calling hours.  The Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City has been entrusted with arrangements.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
