Anna Desrosieres Obituary
Plainfield – Anna P. Desrosiers, 85, formerly of Tarbox Road, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Colonial Health and Rehab Center in Plainfield, CT.
She was born June 30, 1936 in Norwich, CT, daughter of the late Adelard J. and Anita (LaPerle) Proulx, Jr. On March 18, 1977 she was united in marriage to Roland V. Desrosiers at St. Mary’s Church in Jewett City. He predeceased her in 2009.
Anna was retired from UCONN where she worked in the payroll department. She was an avid lover of all animals and enjoyed waiting for her flowers to bloom every year.
She is survived by her sister Jeanne Haggan of Bozrah, her brother Michael Proulx of Jewett City; nieces Laurie Haggan, Diana Haggan, Melinda LaRue, Megan Proulx, nephews Dougals Haggan, Timothy Haggan and Louis Proulx, Jr., as well as five great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Louis Proulx.
Anna will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30AM at St. Mary’s Church, Jewett City. Burial will follow in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold.
