Alexander (Lucian) Nicholas Grillo, 91, of, Preston, CT passed away after a short illness on Friday, November 8, 2025.
He was born June 5, 1934, in Norwich, CT to the late Nicolo and Mary (Scialaba) Grillo.
Alexander worked as an Electrical Engineer for Electric Boat, retiring in 1996. He also proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Besides Alexander’s parents, he was predeceased by his wife Janice Grillo on September 16, 2025, which he was married to for 60 years. Additionally, he was also predeceased by his siblings, brother Joseph Grillo and sister Nancy Ruffo.
Janice Grillo, 84, who worked at the Norwich State Hospital and was a graduate of the Backus School of Nursing in 1962. She had a fierce love for her extensive garden, small farm and her grandchildren. Janice was preceded by her parents Elmer Turney & Helen Chervenicky Turney, and sister Joanne Golden
Alexander and Janice are survived by their children Jim and his wife Georgia Grillo, his daughter Donna Duarte and her husband John; four grandchildren: Alexander Grillo, Mitchell Grillo, Sophia Duarte and Ella Duarte.
Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for both Alexander and Janice Grillo.
Family and friends are invited to a calling hour for both Janice and Alexander to be held on Wednesday November 12th, from 6-7 pm. Then internment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Central Village, at 10am Thursday November 13th. For online condolences please go to www.gagnefuneralhome.com
