Norwich – Leo Gerard Fluet, age 71, of Norwich passed away at home on November 15, 2019.  He was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on September 20, 1948 to the late Armand Joseph Fluet and Georgiana (LaFlamme) Fluet.  
Leo proudly served in the Army from 1969 through 1971, having been stationed in Germany and discharged as an E5 Sergeant.
He married Patricia McFall Roach on July 14, 1990 who survives him along with their children, Paul Leo Fluet of North Carolina, Michelle Fluet Wahrmann and her husband, Courtney of Springfield, Massachusetts and Steven Fluet and his wife Suzzanne of Coal City, Indiana  Laura Roach Mello and her husband Robert of North Stonington, Connecticut, Howard J. Roach and his wife Deana of Plainfield, CT and Diana Wasilewski of Griswold, CT and 19 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Steven Paul Roach, grandchildren Robert S. Mello and Emily Nicole Mello and a brother-in-law, George Marcille.
Leo is also survived by his siblings, Diana Marcille of West Virginia, Ronald Fluet of South Carolina and Donna Ring and her husband Bruce of Middletown, CT, along with many nieces and nephews.
Leo was a New England Patriots fan and enjoyed camping with the children and grandchildren (and his beloved dogs). He loved his family and extended family - gatherings were always full of laughter and great food. He could build and fix almost anything and shared his knowledge and expertise with his children and grandchildren.  Leo was a maintenance mechanic specializing in the maintenance, repair and rebuilding of complicated printing presses, having worked at Roto Print, Rand Whitney and Phelps Dodge from which he retired.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Saturday, November 23, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Church in Occum.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to:  Southeastern Connecticut Hospice (Hartford Health Care), 227 Dunham Street, Norwich, CT 06360.
