Norwich – Cara Marie Guarneri, 58, of Norwich, passed away at the Colonial Rehab facility in Plainfield, CT on Thursday August 24, 2017.
She was born May 12, 1959, a daughter to the late Medora (Marrotte) and Charles Guarneri.
She is survived by her loving family; her brothers Charles and Pat, Kenneth and Edna, Ronald and Peggy, David and Mary, Anthony Guarneri and sister Charis and Gary Tondreau and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cara participated in Special Olympics Track, Bocce, and Bowling.  She was an active member ARC of New London for many years. She particularly enjoyed her Thursday bowling and Camp Harkness.
The family would like to thank everyone from the ARC of New London County, DDS and her group home caregivers for there support and kindness.
Everyone who knew Cara will remember her loving smile, laughter, and out going personality.
There will be a graveside funeral service on Friday September 1, 2017 at 10:00AM, with a burial to follow, within the St. Joseph Cemetery on Club Road in Willimantic CT.  There are no calling hours. My deepest condolences go out to the family. It has been an honor and privilege to be apart of Cara's life. She showed me what a spice of life was all about. She will be sadly missed.
