Jeff Alan Collins, 55 of Canterbury Ct, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 17th, 2019.

He was born in New London CT on August 30th, 1963. To Charles and Marie Collins, they predeceased him. Jeff was a graduate of Griswold High School class of 1981. He would then begin working at Amgraph Packaging where he worked his whole life after high school, right up until his death.

Jeff was an avid sports fan, where you could find him cheering for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and the New York Giants. He had an infectious laugh, that lit up any room that he walked into. He was always the life of the party whether he was invited to or not invited to. Everyone who knew him loved him, and never had anything to say bad about him. A man who always had a smile on his face permanently no matter what was happening around him. That is what made him who he was.

Jeff took pride in being a father to his two daughters Katelyn and Lauren Collins, and his two Son in laws Nick Friday and David Billings III. A loving grandfather to his three grandchildren who he loved more than anything. Kamden Friday, Delaney and Madilynn Collins. He is also survived by his two sisters Janice Collins of Zephyrhills FL and Michelle Dillion of Conway, SC. And his Nephew Brandon Collins also of SC. And his girlfriend of over 2 years Barbara Bousquet also of Canterbury, CT.

He was loved by all that he came into contact with. He will be missed dearly by all the numerous friends and family that he had in his life.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT. A memorial service will be Thursday July 25, 2019 at 10:00AM also at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home, with burial to immediately follow at the Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be put towards funeral expenses with the remainder going towards Jeff’s grandkids future college fund. And those donations can be made to any Chelsea Groton Bank location.
