Lisbon – Lee R. Broll, 74, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday March 28, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born February 7, 1944 in Manchester, CT, son to the late Ralph Q. and Annabelle C. (Lee) Broll.  On Aug 6, 1969 he was married to Josephine S. (Wybraniec) Broll.  She survives him.
Lee served his country Honorably within the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart.  He was proud to be a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division.  He was a past President of both the Vietnam Veterans of America,  Southeastern Connecticut – Chapter 270 and the Vietnam Veterans of America - Connecticut State Council.  After serving his country Lee worked at United Nuclear and worked for 25 years at Foxwoods Casino, within the Security Dept.  He really enjoyed the time spent joking with his coworkers.  When not working, or spending time with his family, Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving his 1965 Ford Mustang.  
In addition to his wife Josephine, he is survived by his daughters Lynn Fortin and husband William, Mary Broll-Lizotte, Tammy Yates; brother Daniel Izzarelli; grandchildren Melissa Seagraves, Ernest DeGunia and Kelsea Yates.  
Lee is predeceased by his brother Fred Izzarelli and sister Lynn Vanase.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00-4:00PM Saturday March 31, 2018 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT with Military Honors.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
