Jewett City – Christopher (CJ) John Gleason, 45, of Jewett City passed away on Dec. 29, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. He was born June 23, 1972 in Norwich, CT, son to Mary-Jo (Mingoia) and John M. Gleason Sr.  They survive him.
Christopher had many interests one of which was a love of baseball, which he played in high school and then went on to coach little league in the Norwich area for many years while his children were young. He is still known as both Coach and Pops by many of the young men he coached. Christopher also liked to shoot pool and was involved in several local pool leagues in the area. Additionally, Christopher was an avid motorcyclist who was loved and admired in the motorcycle community. He was a dedicated and loving father who loved his family above all else.
He is survived by his fiancée Cyndi Britt, sons Devin Gleason, Kyle Gleason and wife Nikki; sister Mary-Jo Gleason; nieces Ivy, Joelle and Brianna Mendez. Christopher was predeceased by his brother John M. Gleason Jr.
Calling hours will be held 3:00PM-5:00PM Saturday Jan 6, 2018 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com

I am at a loss for words during this sorrowful time. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort. "Christopher" will be greatly missed but his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever.
