Voluntown – Albert Roy Jolin, Sr. passed away into the hands of God Saturday October 21, 2017.
He was born August 26, 1925 in Centerdale, RI, son to the late Albert and Rose (Levesque) Jolin. He was predeceased by his first wife Eugenia Couture, whom he was married to on June 18, 1946.  On November 28, 1957, he was married to Hilda E. (Amaral) Jolin.  They were married for 60 years. She survives him.
Albert enlisted in the United States Navy on January 10, 1944 where he served in the Pacific Corridor as Third Class Gunner’s Mate, until May 7, 1946.  He worked with his father and brothers Ernest and Edmund as a carpenter, building many residences in the area.  He worked at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division for 38 years as a Joiner Specialist in the Pattern Shop.  Albert was a life member of the Voluntown Fire Department and was one of the first EMT’s in the department.  He loved to read, do crossword puzzles, listen to opera, ride his motorcycles and travel to the White Mountains.  
Besides his wife Hilda he is survived by their three children Jaymie Macko and her husband Charles of Voluntown, Albert R. Jolin, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Phoenix, AZ and Jeannine Mathis and her husband Robert of Charlestown, RI, five grandchildren Lisa, Ryan, Alan, Tyler and Daniel, two great grandchildren Kaylee and Mia, and his sister Jean Osga and her husband Richard of Voluntown.
Albert was predeceased by his two brothers Ernest and Edmund Jolin.

Calling hours will be held from 9:00-10:30AM Thursday at the Gagne Piechowski Fuenral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00AM at Ss Thomas and Anne Church, Voluntown, CT.  Burial, with military honors will be held on Monday October 30, 2017 at 10:00AM within the St. Thomas Cemetery, Griswold, CT.
